Open Team Tournament

Our tenth annual Open Bass Tournament started on Thursday night, 11/7/2019, at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Anglers, tournament staff, friends and family members gathered for a meal, door prizes, and had the opportunity to hear a message presented by Kate Hough. During the meeting, the Holy Spirit moved one attendee to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior and five to rededicate their lives to Christ. Thanks to everyone who helped prepare the meal, the steak dinner and fixings were exceptional. Special thanks go to Julian Thigpen on his grilling expertise. We would like to thank Light House Baptist Church and Pastor Tim Bush for hosting our meeting.

Saturday was a beautiful day to fish. It was a cold morning, and did not warm up much during the day. 55 boats blasted off at approximately 6:30 am after an early morning prayer in hopes of finding a big sack of fish. 37 of the 55 teams brought a five-fish limit to the scales at weigh-in. Coming in 1st was the team of John Jones and Tim Jones with 5 fish weighing 17.49 lbs. including the big bass of the tournament at 5.51 lbs.
