Open Team Tournament

Our fifth annual Open Bass Tournament started on Thursday night, 10/16/2014, at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Anglers, tournament staff, friends and family members gathered for a meal, door prizes, and had the opportunity to hear an inspiring message presented by Jeff Murray. We thank God for this inspiring presentation of the Gospel. During the meeting, the Holy Spirit moved one attendee to renew their commitment to the Lord. Thanks to everyone who helped prepare the meal, the steak dinner and fixings were exceptional. Special thanks go to Julian Thigpen on his grilling expertise, great job Julian. We would like to thank Light House Baptist Church and Pastor Eric Kincaid for hosting our meeting.

Saturday was a beautiful day to fish. It was a little cool that morning, but it warmed up fast. 27 teams launched at approximately 7:15 am Saturday morning after an early morning prayer in hopes of finding a big sack of fish. 16 of the 27 teams brought a five fish limit to the scales at weigh-in.

Coming in 1st was the team of George Raborn and Brady Cook with 5 fish weighing 12.07 lbs. and the big fish honors with a 5.11 lb. kicker. The 2nd place team of Shannon Jordan and Mack Kitchens weighed in 5 fish for 11.15 lbs. Third place honors went to Kevin Gordon with a 5 fish limit weighing 11.05 lbs.

We want to thank Chick-fil-A of Augusta for providing chicken sandwiches for all the fishermen following the tournament.
