Tommy Youngblood Memorial Fishing Classic Results

Congratulations to Derrick Murray for winning the 2011 classic. Over the three day event, Derrick weighed in 15 fish for a total of 41 lbs - 3 oz. Congratulations to Carl Sullivan for catching the big bass of the tournament at 8 lbs - 14 oz.

24 individuals participated in the annual event. Rev. Joe Youngblood led the devotional on Thursday and Friday nights.

The weather was beautiful for the first two days, 70-80 degree temperatures during the day with no rain. Friday morning brought high winds with rain early. Eighteen double digit stringers were brought to the scales during the tournament. Reports indicated that bass were caught using various techniques including top water, crank baits, swim baits, and worms.

192 bass were weighed in totaling 404 lbs. Some very good fishing and a great fellowship was enjoyed by all.
