2/17/07 Lake Murray

Town Creek Baptist Church Christian Bass Anglers began its 2007 Tournament season this past weekend on Lake Murray. Saturday’s tournament started with temperatures in the low 20's with a cold wind. Congratulations go to Johnnie Bates for finishing first place in the tournament. Johnnie caught 2 fish totaling 8-02 Lbs with the big fish of 5-03 lbs.

3/22/07 – 3/24/07

Tommy Youngblood Memorial Fishing Classic Results

Congratulations to Jeff Murray for winning three classics in a row. Over the three day event, Jeff weighed in 15 fish for a total of 34 lbs - 10 oz. Mathew Jones won the youth division with 7 fish weighing in at 11 lbs.
Congratulations to Mark Day for catching the big bass for the tournament at 4 lbs - 6 oz.

43 individuals participated in the annual event. Rev. Gary Hanna led the devotional on Thursday and Friday nights.

The weather was beautiful for all three days, 70-80 degree temperatures during the day with no rain and light wind. With the arrival of spring, the bass had started to move into the shallows to spawn, several had actually gone on the beds. Reports indicated that bass were caught using various techniques. 269 bass were weighed in totaling 448 lbs and a great fellowship was enjoyed by all.
